How Make My Day works, and how to get set up.
Getting started
Features
Goals How goals work in Make My Day, and how linking tasks to them keeps your day pointed at what matters. Any day, and what carries over Step to any date and plan it — tomorrow tonight, next Tuesday on Friday. And when something does not get done, it follows you to today rather than quietly disappearing. Shaping the day Drag a task onto the timeline and it lands where you dropped it. Nothing is scheduled for you — the arranging is the planning, and this is how it works on Mac, iPhone and iPad. The capacity warning Make My Day adds up the tasks you put between two appointments and tells you when they need more time than the gap has. There is nothing to switch on and nothing to configure. Repeating tasks and events Set a repeat on any task or appointment, skip a single occurrence without breaking the series, and delete just one or all the rest — with Reminders and Calendar showing exactly the same thing. Daily and weekly review A place to write at the end of the day and the end of the week, with your own prompts waiting in it — and, if you want, mirrored into your calendar so it is readable anywhere. Working a list The same canvas, without a day around it: swap the schedule for one Reminders list and work it as a list — reorder, set durations, open details — then swap back.
Use cases
Rescue an overloaded day What to do when the day already holds more than it can: see the overload honestly, name what the day is for, and move the rest without losing it. Plan tomorrow in five minutes The evening pass: look at tomorrow’s real shape, name its outcome, and choose the few things that fit — so the morning starts with a decision already made. Shared calendars Shared and subscribed calendars put things in your day that aren’t yours to do. Choose which ones belong in a plan, and hide the individual entries that don’t.
Living with it
Make My Day and your other apps How Make My Day runs alongside Apple Calendar, Apple Reminders, your calendar app and your task manager — what each one is best at, and what happens if you stop. Privacy & your data What Make My Day stores, what it never collects, and where your data lives. No server, no account, no tracking. Backup & restore Export everything Make My Day itself stores — goals, links, outcomes, reviews and order — as a dated .zip you keep, and restore it by merging rather than overwriting. Accessibility What Make My Day supports today for VoiceOver, low vision and larger text — stated honestly, including the things it does not support yet.
